Speed up my PC in few free easy steps

Scan PC with an anti-virus scanner

First thing you should do is; scan your computer against viruses with a fully updated antivirus program to remove any virus that may be in the PC. Computer virus and malware can cause computers to run slowly by wasting space on hard drives as they duplicate themselves and also are harmful to PCs. It is important to use a fully updated anti-virus scanner, since an outdated anti-virus scanner may not be able to catch new virus threats. Avira is a reliable anti-virus scanner, its having a free version which also is vey reliable.
Use an additional anti-spyware program to scan your computer for malware threats that your antivirus may have missed, and remove any threats that are founds. Computers cannot use two full antivirus programs together without creating potential conflicts, but spyware scanners can be used to supplement antivirus programs. Lavasoft's AdAdware and Spybot Search and Destroy are two free spyware programs.
Delete unused data and programs to free up disk space as freeing up space on your hard disk enable your PC to run faster.

To Delete Files from PC follow the steps below

Select items to be deleted and Drag them to the recycle bin or
Select items to be deleted, Right click and click on delete [Note: select also means highlight.]
Files deleted are sent to recycle bin which also uses the hard disk space. So it means you’ll have to empty recycle bin to permanently delete files.

To Empty Recycle Bin [To Delete From Recycle Bin]

Right click on the recycle bin icon from your desktop and click on "Empty Recycle Bin.

To delete old programs [Uninstall a program(s)]

Click "Start,
Control Panel,
On the opened window click on Add/Remove Programs" or "Programs and Features,"
Double Click on any program or click on remove in the program list to uninstall it.
Defragment your hard drive. Disk defragmentation reorganizes the data on your hard drive to maximize efficiency. Windows based PCs have a disk defragmenting tool which can be accessed by clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Accessories," "System Tools," and then "Disk Defragmentor."
Reduce the number of startup programs. The more programs that run upon startup, the longer startup will take. To chance startup programs, click "Start," "Run," type "msconfig" in the box and click "OK," then go to the "Startup" tab. Deselect any programs that you don't want to run upon startup, and click "Apply," then click "Ok."
Avoid multitasking. One of the main reasons computers run slowly is that users demand too many calculations of the processor at one time. By running only one program at a time, you will limit the strain on the processor and RAM, reducing lag.
